You have big dreams, but what's your next step? How do you balance multiple complex goals over the course of... 5 years? 10 years? How do you keep on track?

Modern society expects you to be successful, fit, and focused, while ironically everything around you is trying to steal your attention or bury you in consumer debt. The clear solution would be to set some goals and just become who you want to be. That should be easy, right?

Ok let’s just search “goal trackers” on the app store—Oh no! We’ve found that…

The internet is littered with "habit trackers" disguised as “goal trackers”. The best ones are great for building habits, though mostly they’re a complex solution to the simple task of checking a box each day.

But have you craved a simple solution to the complex problem of navigating your most important goals over more meaningful lengths of time?

The default in 2025 is debt and distraction, not improvement

Why is “You + ClarityGoals” the solution?

Break mental fatigue

and mental confusion. Constantly cycling through priorities wears you out. Use the ClarityGoals app to set your most efficient path, then check back on that visually simple overview any time to realize your life is not as convoluted as it seems. It’s freeing!

Get addicted to your success

Modern social media apps use brain science to keep you in a cycle of coming back. What if you could steal back that same “dopamine reward system” technology—and use it in your favor??

Design a life that feels like yours

Did you know that over half of American adults make under $50k/yr? Nowhere near what social media wants you to think. Wherever you are on that scale, you don't want to be caught in the "distract yourself with entertainment, and consume your way into debt" crowd. You want to create YOUR life.

Sync short-term with long-term goals

Start with deciding your 10-year goals, then break them down into what to do this year, this quarter, and this month. Tracking your goals can make you 3.2× more successful!

Available on all browsers

ClarityGoals is currently available as a web app.

The iOS (iPhone) app will be released early February 2026.

The Android app will be available March 2026.

How do I use it?

Step 1:

Dream about how you want your life to be in 10 years. In the “10 Year Goals” column, create between 1 and 10 specific, measurable, achievable, relevant goals.

Step 2:

Break them down:

  • 5 Year Goals: Around 30% of the way to your 10 year goals (progress tends to accelerate later on).

  • 1 Year Goals: Decide on realistic milestones you can accomplish this year. You don’t need to pursue every 10 Year Goal simultaneously. There is probably an “optimal order” to do them in.

  • Work your way back to the most important milestones you can accomplish this quarter, and finally this month (right now).

Step 3:

Mark goals as ‘Achieved’ as you progress, taking time to appreciate every win.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Why should I track my goals? A: Of the general population, studies show: - 58% of people have no concrete goals at all → 0% chance of hitting a goal that does not exist. - 22% have clear goals but don’t write them down → 43% chance of hitting their goals. - 7% have goals and do write them down, but don't track them → 61% chance of hitting their goals. - 13% write down their goals and also track them → 76% chance of hitting their goals. - If you combine these probabilities, a randomly chosen individual will have on average a 24% chance of hitting their goals. - Based on these numbers, tracking your goals makes you 3.2x more likely to achieve goals vs the general population (76% avg. chance vs 24% avg. chance). If you'd like to see detailed math on how we get all of these probabilities, you can find it in Articles. So, want to be 3.2x more “successful” than the average person? Literally just track your goals lol. We know just the place where you can both write them and track them. It’s well worth the coffee per month.

Q: Why isn’t the app free? A: Free apps need to do one of the following 3 things in order to cover the cost of the software: 1. Interrupt your experience with ads. 2. Sell your data, or use your data to market their other products to you. 3. Make the free version frustrating so you upgrade to paid anyway, or quit. We do none of the above, and we don’t like those business strategies, therefore it’s a paid subscription.

Q: What if I change my mind and want to cancel? A: The first month is only $1 for this exact reason. If it’s not for you, simply end your subscription in Settings and you’re only out $1.

Q: It sounds like you’re saying this is the only simple, effective long-term goal tracker on the market, but there are plenty of goal trackers on the app store. Are you sure this one is different? A: Those “goal” trackers that currently exist are actually habit trackers, which are also useful. We use the app Streaks for our habits. Some goals CAN be achieved by doing the same thing every day. Most long-term goals, however, probably won’t be accomplished by “doing 50 pushups every day”, lol. On the other hand, there are also project-management-software-style “goal” trackers. These force you to focus on tiny to-do tasks rather than thinking big-picture. Thinking big-picture is the most important thing, because that makes sure you’re moving in the right direction in the first place.

Q: Why aren’t there weekly or daily goals? A: This app is built to allow for clarity of mind while strategizing for the long term. Having too many things to do and see in the app would ruin that clarity of mind. At durations shorter than a month, priorities can change quickly and “goals” at that level are better suited for a to-do list. The best mix would be to use ClarityGoals for your goal tracker, a physical notebook or project management software such as Teamwork (free) for your to-do list, and a habit tracker app such as Streaks to build daily habits.

Q: How am I supposed to know what my life is going to be like 10 years from now? How can I plan that far ahead? A: Exactly! The point is you should DECIDE who and where you want to be in 10 years. It’s also normal for your desires to develop over time, so it’s fine to adjust some of your goals over time. Just don’t let other people tell you what you should want—if you do, you won’t be motivated to accomplish it. If you can only think of what you want 5 years out, it’s still worth getting started today, you can leave 10 Year Goals blank for now.

Q: What if I’m already tracking my goals? A: If you’re already tracking your goals and it’s working well for you, don’t waste any more time on this page, just get back to crushing it. If you’re tracking them by physically writing them, you may find our layout to be more convenient and accessible. If you’re using a project-management-type software, you may find ClarityGoals to be not convoluted, and therefore relatively easy and satisfying.

Q: Help, I can’t figure out what my goals should be! I don’t really know what I want :(
